Comenius-Great Britain

In November 2013 eleven students and three teachers had another chance to take part in Comenius project – “Back to the future”. Our students visited the school in Stoke-on-Trent (England).

After arriving at the London Airport we drove to the Premium Inn Hotel. It was situated in a small town – Trentham. During that day we had opportunity to meet with Dutch group because in the evening we had dinner together.

Next day everyone met at English school where we participated in different lessons – Maths, English, Art, Design Technology. In the afternoon English students invited the Polish, Dutch and French students to their homes. Our students had a chance to get to know better their hosts. We had a possibility to visit the Alton Towers Resort – the biggest Entertainment Park in Great Britain. It is the Theme Park and the Waterpark in the Staffordshire countryside. Because of a bad weather we spent our time in the Theme Park. Everyone used a lot of attractions included rollercoasters /Nemesis, TH13teen, Air/ and a history museum. In the evening we celebrated Dutch student’s birthday. It was another chance for pupils to improve speaking skills and to better know each other.

Last day everyone went to Chatsworth House. It is a stately home in the country of Derbyshire in the East Midlands region of England. It is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire, and has been home to his family the Cavendish family.

In conclusion of our visit students from Comenius project showed their artistic abilities. They presented the modern versions of “Snow white and 7 dwarfs” . All presentations gained recognition and met with people's approval.
